Park Yoochun is officially preparing for his return to the entertainment industry.
On July 31, Park Yoochun took to his personal Instagram to announce that he is working on a new album and that he’s holding a fan autograph event and mini concert in Thailand.
His full caption reads, “Hello. I’m here to relay good news to fans who have waited a long time for Park Yoochun’s album. I am currently preparing for an album release and will soon greet you with a good album. Also, I plan to hold a fan autograph event and mini concert in Thailand so please give them lots of love and attention. More details can be found through The Number Nine. Thank you.”
In April 2019, Park Yoochun held a press conference in which he denied allegations of him using illegal drugs and said he would retire if a drug test showed he had taken them. After a drug test came back positive, his agency, C-JeS Entertainment, terminated his contract and announced his retirement from the industry. Later that year, he was charged with injecting Philopon and received a probation sentence.
Earlier this year, Park Yoochun appeared on the show “Heard It Through the Grapevine” to talk about the controversy over his potential return to the entertainment industry. In 2020, he has opened new social media accounts, a new fan club website, released a photo book, and has held or planned several fan-related events. Up until March this year, Park Yoochun’s representatives stated that he had no plans to return to the entertainment industry.
